How do they do that? – Duralee on hand-printed textiles for the home

Have you ever wondered why the most beautiful printed textiles are often the most costly?

One of Joona’s favorite textile houses, Duralee, just released a video detailing the effort and artistry required to create their newly revived Bailey & Griffin line of hand-screened goods. Watch it and let us know what you think! They also produced a fascinating followup video that discusses the origins of some of the patterns.

We are heading to the San Francisco Design Center’s Winter Market this week and can’t wait to visit the Duralee showroom to see these in person and select a few samples!  Be sure to contact Joona Design Playground if you’d like to feature these in your own custom curtains or upholstery.

Here are a few of our favorites from the collection.  Which are yours?
